Having flown to Haiti, Thomas captioned some of the cultural and natural landscapes on the way to “Le DÎner en Blanc” - a fantastic, très elegant picnic get-together for food & culture lovers from around the world - as well as images from this happy, joyful event.
In november I was invited to participate in a great project named «Le DÎner en Blanc - Haïti». I jumped on the opportunity and here are a couple of shots taken from my trip and from the event.
Resilient by nature, Haiti is a country for travellers who wish to open up to a laid-back, pa gen pwòblèm (no problem) culture and discover a nation with many wonders beneath the scars. Sharing the same grounds with the Dominican Republic on the island of Hispaniola, this Lost Pearl of the Greater Antilles homes some picturesque Caribbean landscapes and colonials reminiscences, such as the Virgin Forest of Pic Macaya National Park, the Citadelle Laferrière in Cap-Haitien, and the Iron Market in its capital city, Port-au-Prince.
