The decision to travel to Africa is a life-changing one. Not only does this vast continent conquer you through its diverse and immense landscapes but also with the smiles and simplicity of its fascinating people.
It’s peculiar how you can grow fond of so many places over this beautiful planet. How “home” can start to be here as well as there. How living just a few years in a place can seemingly wrap your whole heart around it. When I first came to Africa (Ethiopia) in 2010, I knew I’d love to come back but not just for a visit. This has been the first time we’ve lived anywhere outside a two hour radius of the northwest Houston area. And here’s a glimpse of those two years. The people, places, sights, and stories I was able to see and be a part of.
